Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Geologist to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our tNavigator software platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of geological modeling and subsurface characterization, enabling them to provide expert technical support, deliver tailored training, and collaborate with our development team to further improve our software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support for tNavigator users, assisting with geological inquiries and issues through email, phone, and on-site visits.
• Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams, focusing on geological workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate with the development team to enhance geological modeling features and capabilities in the tNavigator platform.
• Work closely with other RFD teams to provide integrated solutions for clients, blending geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data.
• Lead geological studies including data analysis, geological modeling, interpretation, and integration with reservoir simulation models.
• Represent RFD at technical conferences and deliver presentations on geological workflows and tNavigator’s capabilities.
• Support Account Managers with technical sales presentations, highlighting geological aspects of the tNavigator software.
• Assist in identifying new business opportunities and supporting product development initiatives.
• Report to the Technical Manager.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in subsurface geological modeling, interpretation, and data analysis, ideally with an operator or service company.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Extensive experience with geological modeling software (e.g., tNavigator, Petrel, SKUA, RMS, Gocad).
  • Strong knowledge of static reservoir modeling, structural modeling, and stratigraphic interpretation.
  • Familiarity with integrated geological and reservoir engineering workflows.
  • Experience with well log analysis, seismic interpretation, and subsurface data integration.
  • Preferred: Experience with Python or other programming languages for automation and data analysis.
  • Expectation: Strong focus on the integration of geological data with advanced reservoir simulation techniques, particularly in tight gas, shale, and carbonate reservoirs. Familiarity with machine learning or data-driven approaches in geological modeling is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior geologists and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent time management and communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Travel Requirements:

Must be available for frequent domestic and international travel as needed.
