Support Geologist

Overview of Role:

Rock Flow Dynamics are looking for an experienced geologist who is motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic to become part of our Geoscience and Petrotechnical team. Our ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge on data acquisition and geological reservoir modelling tools. This position is customer driven, with a focus on understanding the needs of each individual client and delivering high-quality tailored solutions including live demos, technical support, and training.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and on-site visits. Offer consultations on using tNavigator software for geological modeling of oil and gas fields.
Provide prompt assistance in resolving user issues while using tNavigator.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Communicate with software developers to provide users with comprehensive consultations on specific issues.
Test tNavigator software when investigating user inquiries. Document identified issues and create tasks for software developers.
Conduct customer training sessions on geological modeling using tNavigator.
Conduct webinars and user conferences.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Must be motivated and able to work with team and independently.
Fluent English.
Willingness to travel frequently.
Proactive attitude.

Education and Experience

Higher education (geological or technical) Minimum of 6 years of experience in geomodeling.
Experience in building 3D geological models (from data collection and analysis to reserve estimation).
Experience with the following software (at least one from the list): tNavigator, Petrel, RMS, GOCAD, SKUA.
