Rock Flow Dynamics and Sakhalin Energy to Cooperate on Field Modeling

Rock Flow Dynamics continues to increase the number of companies that use our software tNavigator. Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. has become a new client of the company. Sakhalin Energy is a joint venture Shell, Gazprom, Mitsui, & Mitsubishi developing the oil and gas fields off the north-eastern coast of Sakhalin.

The tNavigator software package has become the main tool for fully integrated reservoir modeling for Sakhalin Energy. Rock Flow Dynamics software offers companies the opportunity to create digital twins of the fields — virtual representations of real-life physical objects and processes that include static and dynamic models, wellbore and surface network models, PVT and relative permeability models, AHM, and uncertainty analysis.

Rock Flow Dynamics experts successfully demonstrated the capabilities of tNavigator by building demonstration models of Sakhalin Energy fields and gave two online training courses for the company’s employees. The agreement includes software updates, assistance in solving technical issues, the inclusion of suggestions and wishes in the tNavigator development plan.
