Most members of our team come from academia and therefore have various research backgrounds in the fields of applied math, computer science, and physics. The development of the next generation simulation technologies at Rock Flow Dynamics cannot be accomplished without advanced research efforts in the fields of mathematical modeling and high performance computing. We work in close cooperation with the Oil and Gas Centre of Moscow State University, Gubkin Oil and Gas University, the Institute of Computational Mathematics, and many other research organizations. Students, graduate students, and young professionals have a unique opportunity to combine day-to-day software and technology development work with research and dissertation activities towards obtaining their Master's and PhD degrees.
Rock Flow Dynamics actively takes part in various public organizations and scientific foundations. In particular, most of our engineers are the members of SPE, for three years RFD has been a member of the Russian service companies association "SoyuzNeftegazServis". In addition, we are seeking official acceptance to become full member of the Russian Innovation Center Skolkovo. In 2009, our company has been selected as one of the 25 most promising innovative high-tech companies in Russia according to the European Tech Tour association.
